"It is a sad day for all Vaseline
Glass collectors. I have just received information that Jay Glickman, author
of "Yellow-Green Vaseline, A Guide to the Magic Glass", passed away last
Sunday evening at his home in W. Wyoming, PA. Jay was known as the "Granddaddy"
of Vaseline Glass collectors. His book brought all lovers of the "Magic Glass"
much-needed information. And we have come so far, since then! It was a great
privilege to meet him at the convention in Kansas City, after several years
of corresponding with him. He compiled pages of names and addresses of other
Vaseline Glass collectors and sent them to me, so that I could contact them
about the original Vaseline Glass Networking Newsletter. Although he had
sold his collection to pursue other interests, Jay never lost his love for
Vaseline Glass. He will be missed!"
Terry Fedosky, co-author of
Yellow-Green Vaseline, A Guide to the Magic Glass, Revised.
"Oh, Terry, I am sorry to
hear this! His book was something that I eagerly awaited and I know that
you were very close to Jay due to all the correspondence and phone calls
while you were updated and revising YGV. He was the first to gather all that
information and pictures for us. Thanks, Jay, May your soul have peace. "

"I am so sorry to hear of
the death of Jay Glickman. His and Terrys book have been my "bible" since
I started collecting about a year and a half or two ago. I know he has been
an inspiration to all of us and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers
are with his family and Terry."
