Jefferson Glass Company produced the Iris with Meander pattern between 1903-1905 or 1906 while they were still in Steubenville Ohio. The pattern was originally called "Iris." When they moved to Follansbee, it is believed production did not continue there. Jefferson also produced the Colonial pattern later around 1908 which appears similar but has no Iris. They also produced the Meander pattern which also has no Iris and it is distinctly different from Iris with Meander.
Related patterns include Jefferson Fleur-de-Lis and Jefferson Meander and examples of these patterns are shown below. Neither of these were produced in Canary Opalescent (Vaseline). |
